2016 Week 4 Fantasy Football Trade Market Report

Week 3 is in the books we certainly had some surprises! The Vikings Defense is for real shutting down Kelvin Benjamin and Cam Newton and Carson Wentz and the Eagles are undefeated having trounced the Steelers and It turns out both the Atlanta Running backs still have crazy value! Some of you are 0-3 or 1-2 so it may be time to shake things up. Let’s dive into it!

I answer hundreds of trade questions each week via the Fantasy Life App (join public chat “The Trade Expert”) as well as my website www.tradefantasyfootball.com and a few names keep coming up. Lets take a look at some of the most popular names I’ve noticed repeating in my trade analysis of late…

Latavius Murray - Stock Flat

Latavius has been one of the most delightfully frustrating running backs to own so far in 2016. He has scored in all three weeks, saving his fantasy day each time but he’s only getting 49% of the teams carries among the top three backs. That is not feature back work but Murray has been useful. He is being shopped in a lot of leagues but his value is weird… if a week goes by where he doesn’t score (which will happen) his point total will be hideous! That said he has been scoring and is the lead dog in that backfield - that carries value. If someone wants to throw him in on a 2 for 1 deal I wouldn’t shy away from it. People are down on him but there are many worse backs out there in starting line ups. He’s not a buy but he’s not a player to avoid either.

Jordan Howard - Stock Up

Jeremy Langford is set to miss 4-6 weeks and frankly he’s looked bad behind that Chicago Offensive line. Howard is averaging nearly 2 yards per carry more than Langford was at the time of his injury albeit in limited action. Howard has certainly passed the eye test and should easily be the top waiver wire add this week. We’ve seen backs thrive in bad offenses before so Howard could steal this job and never give it back. He’s not too expensive in trades right now so if you have some wide receiver depth, he’s a solid target to go after.

 Christine Michael - Stock Up

Has Michael finally realized his potential? I don’t know but he has a really nice day this past Sunday and it could have been better if the game wasn’t a total blowout. With Rawls slated to miss several weeks Michaels value is sky high - he’s locked in top 10 in my book. That statement will make some folks sick but its true! The way Seattle uses their lead back in classic workhorse fashion gives Michael a huge boost. If someone is shopping him for a reasonable price, buy now! He could run away with the starting gig if he hasn’t already.

 Golden Tate - Stock Down

Tate is 3rd on his team in targets but its simple not translating into yardage. He’s under 100 yards on the year with no touch downs and his owners are likely sick of him. Marvin Jones has run away with the WR1 gig in Detroit but Tate will have life once again. Teams will have to adjust to Marvin more and more after last weeks explosion and Tate will be the beneficiary. If he is being dropped don’t waste a claim on him but add him after waivers clear if you have space - we’ve not heard the last of Golden Tate in 2016.

Thats all for this week! Have a trade question of your own or a player we missed? Drop by Public Chat “The Trade Expert” on the Fantasy Life App and we’ll be happy to help!
