2016 Week 3 Fantasy Football Trade Market Report

Week 2 is down as are so many key players! Danny Woodhead, Adrian Peterson, Ameer Abdullah, Arian Foster (of course) and Jonathan Stewart among many others are all banged up or done for the season. With so many players on the mend there is a good chance you need to make a move this week, so lets dive into it!

I answer hundreds of trade questions each week via the Fantasy Life App (join public chat “The Trade Expert”) as well as my website www.tradefantasyfootball.com and a few names keep coming up. Lets take a look at some of the most popular names I’ve noticed repeating in my trade analysis of late…

Jeremy Hill - Stock Down

Whats to be done with Jeremy Hill? He’s not producing at the moment and Denver is coming to town this week. 20 attempts for 53 yards is simply not going to cut it and unfortunately that sort of production is going to elicit much fanfare on the trade market either. You have to bench him this week (unless you’ve no better options) and you can’t sell him for the “pennies on the dollar” he’s worth right now in one for one deals. Stash him on your bench but don’t be afraid to add him to a package deal if need be. Let him be someone else’s problem.

Stefon Diggs - Stock Up

What a game from Stefon Diggs on Sunday night! His breakout performance could not have come at a better time and should be a sign of things to come. AP is down for the foreseeable future so the vikings could look to air it out with the their “shiny” new quarterback and his favorite new target. If you can get Diggs for a decent price i’d do so. Right now he leads the NFL in receiving yards and he was solid with that pathetically limited passing attack last season so I think he’s got some legitimacy to him. That said, I do expect him to take a step back this week vs Carolina but make no mistake, Diggs is certainly a buy - just don’t go crazy yet. Maybe give it a week?

 LeGarrette Blount - Stock Up

This guy is so lucky to be a Patriot it isn’t even funny. Garropolo is likely out this week so expect the Pats to lean on the run game again Thursday night. Granted last week the game was pretty much over at the half and Blount was needed to salt away the remains of the Dolphins (who almost came back) but carries are carries -  as fantasy owners we’ll take them however they come! He’s currently a top 5 back in this small sample size so he cant be ignored. If someone wants to sell him now don’t bite on a sell high attempt but do buy. Blount is the kind of guy who will always have value but be so overlooked each week. A useful, unexciting back who helps you win. kind of like real life. Get him added as a throw in, he is low hanging fruit.

Thats all for this week! Have a trade question of your own or a player we missed? Drop by FLAFFL chat or Public Chat “The Trade Expert” on the Fantasy Life App and we’ll be happy to help!
