We are officially a quarter of the way through the season, sadly it is flying by. We have yet to see the true Gronk but he gets Brady back this week! You no longer have to feel obligated to start Justin Forsett and Yes, you can drop Josh Gordon and Kevin White (finally) Week 5 is critical - no matter where you are sitting in the standings you still have a chance in any league!Whether you are in first or last, Don’t be afraid to shake it up! With that said, lets dive into our week 5 trade market report.
I answer hundreds of trade questions each week via the Fantasy Life App (join public chat “The Trade Expert”) as well as my website www.tradefantasyfootball.com and a few names keep coming up. Lets take a look at some of the most popular names I’ve noticed repeating in my trade analysis this week…
Odell Beckham Jr. - Stock down
Raise your hand if you saw this one coming! I’ll make this quick. I am buying, buying, buying! Could this blow up in my face, sure. I am betting on Odell’s skill set and track record, i think he rights the ship this week at Green Bay. They should be down, they should be passing and they should be without Rashaad Jennings once again. The G-men need Odell Beckham to get going, it will serve their record well so look for Eli to feed Beckham early and often this week. The point being you should be buying and you must buy before this Sunday. It will still cost you a good bit but if you can flip Cooks and a decent running back for Odell do it in a heartbeat, you will not get another chance to buy Odell after Sunday night.
Legarrette Blount - Stock down
This is another player I am buying. I know I recently wrote about Blount but this article is based solely on the most frequently asked questions and Blount has been a huge topic of discussion this week. Many are so concerned that Blount is going to disappear with Brady coming back and I can’t help but ask why? Brady opens up the offense, he takes pressure off of Blount who has been shouldering the load. Blount is the unquestioned early down back in a potent offense with Brady at the helm. That same potent offense also puts games out of reach for opponents in the third quarter - Blount grinds the clock down and punishes the defense while Brady enjoys the 3 TD’s he’s already thrown. But then there are some who are concerned about Dion Lewis’ return. Yes it is coming up and yes he is a great piece of that offense but they are different pieces. Blount will get his, he did just fine with Dion Lewis in tandem at the beginning of last season even posting a 3 TD game against the Jaguars! Also who ever said Dion was going to be ready? Last report I saw expressed excitement that he was walking like a normal human! Blount is going to be useful. Do not sell him and if someone is shopping him buy at the depressed value.
Arian Foster - Stock Up
How sad is this: Arian Foster practiced today… thats all it took for the Arian Foster trade questions to roll in! If you own him sell him now, its that simple. Make my words he will be hurt again. He might even be hurt by week’s end. Foster is unlikely to be the centerpiece of a deal but don’t be scared to throw him in to “sweeten” the pot if need be. This might be the peak of his value for the remainder of 2016.
Will Fuller - Stock Up
This one is Tricky. Fuller has been outstanding through 4 games, outperforming his counterpart Deandre Hopkins. I am selling high in redraft where it makes sense but I may regret it. This guy runs 22 mph and has legit skills. My reason for selling is timing. Several receivers have depressed value right now (Cooks, Odell, Hopkins, Marshall to name a few) so you could easily pair Fuller with someone to upgrade to one of these buy low studs. I also don’t quite trustOsweiler, as Nuk gets going Fuller should/could see a big drop off. Brock doesn’t strike me as a QB that can support 2 high end Wrs.
