2016 Week 7 Fantasy Football Trade Market Report-
Was it just me or did it seem like everyone went off this weekend? I know there were some duds like Antonio Brown and Mark Ingram ( more on those two in a moment) but it really felt like there were a ton of guys scoring in the 20’s and several running backs crashing the 30+ mark as well. It was a crazy week full of injuries so lets dive into some names that are at the forefront of trade talks this week!
I answer hundreds of trade questions each week via the Fantasy Life App (join public chat “The Trade Expert”) as well as my website www.tradefantasyfootball.com and a few names keep coming up. Lets take a look at some of the most popular names I’ve noticed repeating in my trade analysis this week…
Antonio Brown - Stock down
Let’s not waste any time getting to the biggest name of the week. Big Ben underwent surgery for a torn meniscus on Monday morning putting the fantasy season of all Pittsburgh skill position players in serious jeopardy. Early reports had Ben missing a couple weeks, that report has no expanded to 4-6 weeks… big difference. Last year when Ben went down AB’s value took a serious hit. In the four games Ben missed Brown averaged 58 yards per game and scored exactly ZERO touchdowns. If you have a buyer at 75 cents on the dollar i’m selling now. One bad game and that number drops to 60 cents. Landry Jones is not good at football… not at the NFL level.
Allen Robinson - Stock down
ARob has been a little up and down this season but I think brighter days are ahead. In the weeks where he has scored owners have no complaints but Robinson has yet to eclipse 72 receiving yards in a single game this year! This week the Jags draw the league worst Oakland Raiders secondary in Jacksonville. This is the week ARob goes off after which I strongly advise you sell high! Looking a bit ahead, his week 13 and 14 matches against Denver and Minnesota are enough to knock you off any potential playoff run.
Julian Edelman- Stock Down
Edelman is my buy low this week. He hasn’t gotten in sync with Brady yet but he surely will as defenses key in on the big tight ends. Julian has 17 targets over the past two weeks with Brady back and this week I think the Pats toy with the Reeling Steelers a little bit. Look for Edelman to get rolling this Sunday at Pittsburgh as reasserts himself as the top WR in New England. If someone in your league is shopping him you should be buying him at his current price.
Mark Ingram - Stock Down
Stock down is a recurring theme in this article. Ingram has been victimized by vultures one too many times for many of his investors and Coby Fleener stealing a goal line TD might be the last straw! As the undisputed lead back for a potent offense he’s hard to sit and frustrating to own but if you own him you have to start him. I advise holding onto Ingram for this week in hopes that he scores around 20 fantasy points. If you try to sell him now you’ll likely net something in the range of Will Fuller or Travis Kelce which is a poor ROI. The KC defense is smack in the middle of the league in rushing yards allowed but have only given up 3 rushing touchdowns on the year. His prospects aren’t great this week but what choice do you have right now? I can’t imagine any off you’ve received has been great. If he scores anything near 20 I’d shop him but don’t undersell. The upcoming schedule looks rough (Sea, SF, Den) Seattle is rough but Denver is not as tough against the run as they might seem.
