Houston Texans (4–2) @ Denver Broncos (4–2) 8:30 PM (Est)

-Game Previews-

Do you think the Broncos are regretting not signing Osweiler to a long-term contract? Yeah, me either. The now Texans Quarterback will try to prove them wrong this Thursday night. The Broncos are currently third in the AFC west, while the Texans are 1st in the worst division in football(AFC South). Both have a (4–2) record on the season, and need a win to stay in the hunt in their respected divisions.

This Thursday marks the 6th time the Broncos and Texans have met. Denver leads the series 3–2. Denver is heavily favored in this match. I expect them to extend their lead.

For the Texans to come away with the Victory these three things need to go their way. 1.) Get Lamar Miller going. If there is one weakness to the Denver Defense it’s on the ground. They currently rank 22nd in rushing yards allowed per game. 2.) Get DeAndre Hopkins involved early. Thought by most to be a top 5 talent at the WR position. Hopkins has had a hard go of it in 2016. He has just one 100 yard receiving effort this season. They need him on top ofhis game if the Texans are to have a chance. 3.) Get pressure on Siemian. The Texans defense needs to show up this Thursday. Get pressure on Siemian, force turnovers. They are -4 in turnover ratio this year. That isn't going to get it done against the Broncos.

Ultimately I expect Denver to win this game easily. Score-line — 24–10

The Good: Denver Defense
A terrible offense vs. a top 3 defense. The Texans are tied for 7th in most turnovers this season with 10. In addition to the turnovers, the Texans are averaging just 18 point per game. Get Denver in your lineup this week.

The Bad: Lamar Miller
Miller Finally exploded last week against the Colts. Rushing for 149 yards and a Touchdown (his first in a Texans uniform). I’m not expecting a repeat performance this week. His workload will keep him in the RB 2 conversation, but his upside is severely limited. The Broncos D has been vulnerable to the run at times this season, but I believe the entire Texans offense will struggle this game. Miller is a low- end RB2 for me this week.

The Ugly: Brock Osweiler
I asked the Question. Do you think the Broncos regret not sighing Oswiler to a long term? The real question should be.. Do you think the Texans are starting to regret their decision? Probably not just yet, but its starting to creep into their mind. Osweiler has been terrible this season. He has more turn overs than Touchdowns, and the offense is ranked 30th in points per game. It doesn't take a genius to know that Osweiler is going to struggle this Thursday.
