New York Jets (1–4) @ Arizona Cardinals (2–3) 8:25 PM (Est)

-Game Previews-

Monday Night football week 6. These weeks are just flying by.. My Thursday preview / predictions for the Chargers , Broncos game were terrible. Let’s see if Monday’s can be any better. We get an unusual match-up to begin the week. The Jets lead by Ryan Fitzpatrick will take on Carson Palmer and the Cardinals in Arizona. This marks the 9th time these teams have meet, and the 1st since 2012. The Jets lead the series 6–2.

One side with super bowl aspirations and the other just trying to stay afloat, this is a must win for both teams. Another loss for the NY Jets could lead to disaster. Benching(s), firings. A 1–5 hole to begin the season is virtually impossible to overcome. The Cardinals are better than their 2–3 record suggests, but losing again will make a wildcard spot unlikely. Despite losing 6 straight to the Jets, Arizona is heavily favored this Monday Night. For good reason. Palmer is set to start after 2 weeks of rest. Expect him to feast upon the Swiss cheese like Jets defense that’s surrendered 7 passing touchdowns the last 2 weeks. Palmer should easily add to that total.

For the Jets to come out on top, a few things need to go their way. First, the secondary needs to play better. Second, ball security. Fitzpatrick needs to protect the ball. Third, control the clock. Keep the Arizona offense off the field. Easy right?

Arizona will win this game. Score-line — 31–13

-Fantasy Outlook-

The Good: Carson Palmer

Palmer has not been great this season. He Scored just 3 fantasy points against Buffalo in week 3, then 11 against the Rams in week 4. After sitting out week 5 with a concussion I fully expect him to get back on track. The Jets have allowed the 29th most fantasy points to opposing Quarterbacks, and the second most passing yards per game (303 yards). Palmer is easily a top 10 option for week 6.

The Bad: Ryan Fitzpatrick

The Fitzmagic that we saw in the 2015 season has yet to appeared in 2016. He has thrown 10 interception already this season. Along with the interceptions, his touchdowns and yards are down. Only throwing more than 1 TD or 262 yards passing once this season. Unless your in a 20 team or 2 QB league, Fitz is better left on the bench. The Cardinals are tied for 2nd in Interceptions. They might be 1st after this game.

The Ugly: The Jets Spec/Def

The Jets Defenses has been surprisingly bad this season in both Fantasy and real life. They are tied for last with only 3 take always on the season, and are averaging of over 27 points allowed per game. You can find a better streaming option.
