I have been missing the last two weeks and I do apologize if you failed to cash because my article was not posted. Wait…you did not notice? Well that would make sense, since I only have two followers and I’m related to both of them.
Well this article goes out to the two of you. I know you do not play DFS, but who the hell cares, I am writing it anyway! And for any new readers, just know that I was out because of a death of a friend and not because I lost all my money on FanDuel and DraftKings!
Oh, one last thing…GO CUBS GO‼ (Writing this the day of Game 7)
Aaron Rodgers - $7,800 (GB vs. IND)
Did Rodgers make the announcement that everyone needs to R-E-L-A-X? If he didn’t, he sure has made the statement on the field. He has now thrown for 572 yards and seven touchdowns over his last two games. It seems that Rodgers has found his stride and defense should be scared. The good news is, fantasy owners should be happy and I like him to continue his stride against the Colts in Week 9 – a team allowing the ninth most fantasy points to the QB position over the last three weeks.
Philip Rivers - $6,500 (SD vs. TEN)
I think Rivers is a sneaky good play this week. The Titans have given up the third most fantasy points to the QB position over the last three weeks. Those QBs were Andrew Luck, Blake Bortles and Cody Kessler. Rivers is not on par with Luck talent wise, but he is definitely better than the last two guys. Even with limited weapons to use, I think Rivers will be a solid value play in both cash and GPP formats.
Dak Prescott - $6,100 (DAL @ CLE)
The match-up is good and Prescott has been very efficient. He is probably not a good GPP option since he has yet to break 30 points on DraftKings, but I feel confident using him in cash as he is very consistent. Not to mention his first game with Dez Bryant back was his best when he put up 28.28 DK points.
In cash I think I am paying for two top RBs and going cheap at WR this week.
Ezekiel Elliot - $7,900 (DAL @ CLE)
As long as Commissioner Goodell does not overstep his authority and suspend Elliot for a crime he was never charged, than Elliot is my safest and best cash play. He has a solid matchup against the Browns – a team giving up the third most fantasy points to the RB position over the past three weeks. Elliot will see major usage and is an obvious chalk play.
Devontae Booker - $6,400 (DEN @ OAK)
Booker left the game last week, but came back and put up decent points. He is solid for cash and has the upside to hit in a GPP lineup too. His matchup is okay as the Raiders have been better against the run over the last three weeks. Either way, his usage by the Broncos alone makes him ideal at this price.
Terrance West - $4,700 (BAL vs. PIT)
If you do not spend up at the RB position, West is the guy I may lean on. He is facing the Steelers who are giving up the second most fantasy points to the RB position over the last three weeks. He is coming off a bye week too, which means he should be well rested.
Only other guys I may consider for GPP: Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry, Theo Riddick, Latavius Murray and Duke Johnson.
I wish I could trust Antonio Brown in cash. Well, it is not Brown I do not trust, it is Landry Jones. I will only be using AB in GPP lineups this week.
Dez Bryant - $7,400 (DAL @ CLE)
Cleveland is now known for having a good baseball and basketball team. Their football team is still a laughing stock and their defense is a major problem. Over the last three weeks, not only are they giving up a good chunk of fantasy points to the QB and RB position, but they are also giving up the fourth most fantasy points to the WR position. Bryant looks healthy for once and had a solid game with Dak at the helm. I like that to continue and will consider a three-headed Cowboy stack with Dak, Zeke and Dez.
Davante Adams - $5,900 (GB vs. IND)
The match-up is not the greatest, but I think Adams is solid in cash if you run Rodgers out as your QB. He has seen 30 targets over the last two games and has 13 and 12 catches in those games. Receptions alone should be enough for him to hit at least 2.5x value.
Kenny Stills - $3,900 (MIA vs. NYJ)
I only like Stills for GPP tournaments. I cannot trust him in cash. The Jets have been exposed with the deep ball many times this year and that is Stills’ specialty. Even with two catches, Stills could hit for 75 yards and a touchdown. The problem is he could go without a catch and that is why I will not use him in cash.
Delanie Walker - $4,600 (TEN @ SD)
Walker is the top high-priced option at tight end. That said, I probably will not be using him in any formats. The cheaper options on the slate have more value in my opinion, but Walker should hit enough value needed for cash and I like him more than Olsen and Kelce this week.
Dennis Pitta - $3,800 (BAL vs. PIT)
Pitta has seen targets of eight, 10 and 10 over his last three games. He has not found the end zone over that span, but he is facing against a Steelers defense that has allowed a touchdown and the fifth most fantasy points to the TE position over the last three weeks. At $3,800, Pitta makes for a solid option on DraftKings.
Lance Kendricks - $2,900 (LA vs. CAR)
Kendricks is actually a sneaky cheap cash play. He has had back-to-back games of eight or more targets and has hit double-digit fantasy points on DraftKings over that span. He is facing a Carolina defense that has given up the third most fantasy points to the TE position over the last three weeks.
