Cheezi Draftkings Outlook Week 9

Week 8 Recap
I had a nice little GPP lineup that has Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, Davante Adams, and Travis Kelce so that was fun. I also warned you guys last week (click here)  that Mark Ingram is CURSED. Also in my ‘Buyer Beware’ section was Cam Newton and Jack Doyle. So that made me feel smart. Also in that section were Dez Bryant and Broncos D/ST… Theo Riddick Aaron Rodgers, and GRONK SMASH were some of the good calls I had last week. Hopefully I have as much success (slightly above expectations) as I did last week again this week.

But before we jump into Week 9, here are 10 things we should be aware of:

Jamaal Charles, Spencer Ware, and Charcandrick West are all battling injuries.

Ezekiel Elliott has suspension rumors going around.

Mike Evans has 86 targets (2nd in the NFL) and already had his bye week.

Aaron Rodgers has topped 300 passing yards just once this season.

LeGarrette Blount leads the NFL in carries and rushing touchdowns.

David Johnson has over 100 total yards in every game this season.

Quarterbacks against the Browns have an average stat line of 289 passing yards and almost 2.5 touchdowns.

Here's what RB1s have done to San Francisco: Todd Gurley 18 touches 42 yards 0 TDs, Fozzy Whittaker 19 carries 131 yards 0 TDs, Christine Michael 22 touches 111 yards 2 TDs, Ezekiel Elliott 24 touches 157 yards 1 TD, David Johnson 30 touches 185 yards 2 TDs, LeSean McCoy 20 touches 142 yards 3 TDs, Jacquizz Rodgers 27 touches 163 yards 0 TDs.

I can't count to 10…
Enough of my silly jokes…Let’s make some !

Ok now I’m done.

Dak Prescott ($6,100 @ CLE)
If the Cowboys decide to go back to Tony Romo, well that would be a big mistake. Not only has Prescott hit 3x in every game since Week 2, Dez Bryant is back and well, he’s good. Also “Quarterbacks against the Browns have an average stat line of 289 passing yards and almost 2.5 touchdowns.” He’s probably going to be my cash game quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers ($7,800 vs IND)
Welcome back Mr. Rodgers. Do I need to throw stats? He us Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field against the Colts who just let Nick Foles come off the bench and complete 16 of 22 passes for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns. Also, Aaron Rodgers has a TD:INT ratio of 70:15 in November.

Sam Bradford ($5,000 vs DET)
I know this sounds ridiculous, but hear me out. Lions have allowed the most points to opposing quarterbacks. He's got the revenge narrative going for him. With this price tag he needs just 15 DraftKings points to hit cash game value. The upside isn't exactly there with Bradford, but he's going to hit cash value.

Running Backs

Ezekiel Elliott ($7,900 @ CLE)
Am I crazy for saying a quarterback and running back from the same team? Well yeah… but it's the Browns you know? 18+ touches in every single game this season. He has 140+ total yards in 5 straight games. Dude is a monster. Dak and Zeke in cash, Dak or Zeke in GPP.

DeMarco Murray ($7,600 @ SD)
This is bizarre; He's hit cash value each week besides Week 6 against the Browns… whatever. 18+ touches in each game this season. Other then that Week 6, 100+ total yards or multiple scores in each game. Gimme some DeMarco, and Zeke, and Bell… Is that possible?

Mark Ingram ($4,800 @ SF)

Devontae Booker ($6,400 @ OAK)
Geez. $6,400 in Oakland. 18+ touches 80+ total yards and a TD in back to back games. Also has 8 catches total in that game. Don't care that his price went up by almost $3k, I'll be using him in a bunch of GPPs.

Wide Receivers

Jordan Matthews ($5,700 @ NYG)
After losing on Sunday Night Football to a division rival in overtime the Eagles will be angry. Despite whatever the numbers say the Giants defense is good at *insert analytical bogus stat here* their defense is LOUSY. Jordan Matthews last three games against the Giants: 30 targets, 21 catches, 218 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Allen Hurns ($4,900 @ KC)
It doesn't take much watching football to see that Blake Bortles has regressed quite a bit this season. This regression hasn't really impacted Allen Hurns too much. He has 8+ DraftKings points in every game this season so he's got quite a floor. Averaging 63 yards per game so gotta like that. Nice cash game play here.

Antonio Brown ($8,900 @ BAL)
Ben Roethlisberger might play in this game. I think it's been years since Brown has been priced this low. Ravens rank 27th in points allowed to wide receivers making him a cash game lock if and only if Big Ben plays. If not, still use him in GPPs.

Tight Ends
Sadly I am contractually obligated to talk about all of the positions so let's see how this goes.

Antonio Gates ($3,000 vs TEN)
I don't think there's a week that I haven't mentioned Gates. Even when he doesn't play I mention him. In 6 career games against the Titans, Gates is averaging 70+ yards and has scored 5 touchdowns. He's got as good of a chance to score as anybody.

Dennis Pitta ($3,800 vs PIT)
Look, this position is ugly this week. He's got 10 targets each of the past two games, and well… actually that's all I got. Oh wait! Steelers rank 23rd against Tight Ends. Ok I'm done. moving on.

Kyle Rudolph ($4,000 vs DET)
Sheesh. Lions give up the most points to TEs. He's got that nice green 32nd next to his name so his ownership will probably be the highest. I'm going all in on Gates. I won't be using any of these other guys.

Eagles ($3,100 @ NYG)
Eli Manning is washed up. It's a damn shame, but hey he brought me two beautiful Super Bowl champions, anyways oops how'd that get there. Eagles like to intercept Eli. In 24 games he's got 24 INTs against them. I'd say that if you wanna bet on an Eli interception it's probably -400.

Vikings ($4,000 vs DET)
This is the best defense in the NFL and average a lot of points

Packers ($2,700 vs IND)
And on this week's edition of stream against Andrew Luck we have the Green Bay Packers.

BUYER BEWARE (I would say Mark Ingram, but that's cheating, you know, because he's cursed.)

Derek Carr ($6,300 vs DEN) - Well this is easy. The Broncos made future hall of fame quarterback Philip Rivers look like a rookie. I expect more of the same here.

Frank Gore ($4,500 @ GB) - Packers are allowing under 75 rushing yards a game (second in NFL) and take out the one game against the Cowboys that number is absurd. Gore’s old. I'm not a fan.

Marvin Jones Jr. ($5,600 @ MIN) - Remember when Marvin Jones was the number one WR in fantasy? Just 13 catches in his last 4 games and 3 of those he had less than 40 yards.

Brandon Bostick ($2,500 @ MIA) - Scrolled to the bottom until I saw something funny… Remember what he did in Seattle… good times.

Ravens ($3,300 vs PIT) - If Big Ben plays, don't even go near the Ravens who are the 6th highest priced defense.

THE FLEX ZONE (I'm cheating this week)

DuJuan Harris ($3,000 vs NO)*
Charcandrick West ($4,400 vs JAC)*
Kenny Stills ($3,900 vs NYJ)
Kapri Bibbs ($3,500 @ OAK)*
Brian Quick ($3,400 vs CAR)
Aaron RIPKOWSKI ($3,300 vs IND)
Marquise Lee ($3,400 @ KC)
Kenneth Dixon ($3,600 vs PIT)
Philip Dorsett ($3,700 @ GB)
Tim Hightower ($4,000 vs SF)*

The guys with the * are in play depending on the status of the backs in front of them. My favorite of the bunch is DuJuan Harris at the minimum hosting the Saints.

Here's my early cash lineup….

And a GPP

QB - Aaron Rodgers

RB - Ezekiel Elliott

RB - Devontae Booker

WR - Demaryius Thomas

WR - Davante Adams

WR - TY Montgomery

TE - Antonio Gates

FLEX - Kenny Stills

D/ST - Eagles

The last thing I want to mention is this: On FanDuel, there’s a wide receiver on the Oakland Raiders Johnny Holton who is priced at $0… On FanDuel there’s a wide receiver on the Oakland Raiders Johnny Holton who is priced at $0.

Alright enough from me. Monitor these injuries and best of luck in Week 9!
