Cheezi Draftkings Outlook Week 6

Written by Matt Perdichizzi, goes by @cheezi on the Fantasy Life App & now @cheezi_FL on Twitter

I really wish I could take more credit for Cameron Meredith. I was on him before all the big dogs said stuff. Following his performance, I sent out this tweet… https://twitter.com/cheezi_fl/status/785220250627403776 If you don't follow me on twitter, well I don't like you. Don't have much else to say. Let's get into week 6

Quarterbacks

Drew Brees $7,900 vs CAR
Brees has some of the craziest home-road splits. I'm not going to go all nerdy on you guys, but believe me, they're crazy. He's had at least 36 pass attempts each game and should easily reach that number in what should be a shootout and appears to be one of those win or go home games. Brees is cash and GPP viable.

Russell Wilson $6,900 vs ATL
Maybe it's because I haven't really watched a Falcons game this season, but I still think they're a fluke. That being said, I think @DangeRussWilson goes bonkers this week. He's looking like my favorite GPP guy this week.

Brian Hoyer $5,800 vs JAX
Remember when Brian Hoyer started a playoff game this year against the Chiefs and had 4 interceptions and 2 fumbles (one lost) and the Texans lost the game 30-0? Neither do I. Hoyer now has 3 straight games with 300+ yards and multiple scores. Another cake matchup, another Brian Hoyer in cash week.

Running Backs

LeSean McCoy $6,900 vs SF
Gotta love 3 straight weeks of 3X value for Shady. Gotta love 19+ touches each week. Gotta love the matchup at home hosting the 49ers. Gotta love that Colin Kaepernick is the 49ers starting quarterback which should mean the Bills have more time with the ball in their hands. May have 100% Shady exposure this week.

Jamaal Charles $5,100 @ OAK
In giant GPPs, going after players coming after injuries. In GPPs going after guys playing against the Raiders is a great strategy. Pair those things along with Jamaal Charles at $5,100. Bang. Ultimate GPP play. Caution here, he may do nothing, but I can see him really blow up here.

DeMarco Murray $7,700 vs CLE
It’s Week 6, and this is the third time I’m talking about DeMarco Murray. The great thing about Murray in this spot is the Titans are actually favored in this one. This means the Titans should just eat the clock, pound the rock, and feed DeMarco’s big hands. 59 touches in the past two weeks. Expect more of the same here. Not to mention LeVeon Bell is near his price tag which should drive GPP ownership away from him.

Wide Receivers

Jeremy Maclin $6,300 @ OAK
He hasn’t been overly impressive this year averaging under 13 points on DraftKings, but he’s been getting the looks. He’s got 37 targets (on pace for 148 targets), and is now facing off with the Oakland Raiders, who can’t stop a brick from rolling…

Michael Thomas $4,300 vs CAR
I knew I wanted a piece of this game, was planning on going with Brandin Cooks here, but listen to this: At least 5 targets each game, at least 4 catches each game, at least 55 yards or a score each game. He has a solid floor, and at that price in this spot, I love Thomas in both formats.

Cameron Meredith $4,100 vs JAX
So yes. My two favorite stacks this week are Drew Brees and a third string wide receiver, and Brian Hoyer and some guy you didn’t know two weeks ago. I knew about this guy before it was cool to know about this guy. Just $4,100 getting WR1 like looks, going up against the Jaguars who rank 25th against WRs, I like rolling Meredith again in GPP.

Tight Ends

Jimmy Graham $4,900 vs ATL
I can’t believe I just typed that. Before the Seahawks bye week, Graham had back to back 100 yard games and now gets to go against the Falcons who are allowing the second most points to the position. Price isn’t too high so I like him in both formats, but more GPP than cash.

Charles Clay $2,900 vs SF
I normally like to talk about the sexy plays, like Gronk or the Road Dogg Jesse James, or Greg Olsen, but this week, I like Charles Clay if you are punting the position in cash games. He has back to back 9.7+ efforts (3x value) and well someone has to amount for Tyrod Taylor’s 150 passing yards.

Julius Thomas $4,200 @ CHI
This is what I’m talking about when I say sexy. I mean look at this guy… He looks so happy and ready to shread the Bears. He’s coming off an injury then a bye so nobody will be on him, and he had 5 targets in each game he played. Thomas makes for a solid GPP option if you aren’t rolling JIMMY.

DEFENSE!!!

Titans $3,300 vs CLE
Shoutout to @crftv on the Fantasy Life App for being on the Titans last week. I am going back to them this week hosting whoever the Browns decide to roll out at QB. I’ll tell you who it will not be

Texans $2,900 vs IND
Maybe I’m crazy, but I think the Texans defense is okay. Only $2,900 hosting Andrew Luck and his miserable team. Houston needs to re-establish themselves as a legitimate team, and I think they do just that here

Bills $3,700 vs SF
Well, $3,700 looks like a lot for a defense, but this team is red hot rallying off three impressivish wins and now host Afroman/Mr. Patriotic, Beats Headphones Commercials/Squidward/Colin Kaepernick. Think it could be tough to return cash value, but the ceiling here is quite high.

THE FLEX ZONE

Ted Ginn Jr. $3,900 @ NO- This has got to be one of those 3 for 75 yards and a score games for Ted F****** Ginn right?

Kenny Britt $3,700 @ DET- Not only is Kenny Britt still playing, 4 catches in each game, Lions rank 26th in points to WRs, and he’s yet to score a TD. Maybe he does here then you are Golden, more golden than Golden Tate will ever be.

Bobby Rainey $3,300 vs BAL- As a Giants fan, I wanted Rainey cut in the preseason, boy am I glad he’s still around. He has 15 targets over the past two weeks which makes him great on a PPR site like DraftKings.

BUYER BEWARE

Ben Roethlisberger $7,700 @ MIA- His home-road splits are as crazy as Drew Brees. Proceed with caution here.

Ezekiel Elliott $7,000 @ GB- I have been loving using Zeke, but heading to Green Bay who is allowing just 42.8 yards per game, I won’t have any Elliott exposure.

Antonio Brown $10,000 @ MIA- I know it’s crazy to fade the best fantasy football player, but come on… $10,000!? No thank you.

Martellus Bennett $4,500 vs CIN- No reason to go here, chasing points and also Jimmy Graham is just $400 more.

Chiefs $2,800 @ OAK- I know I like Maclin and Charles, but this game could really be a shootout.

Davante Adams $3,900 vs DAL- I expect this game to not have many plays run, a lot of running, unsucessful running. I’ve heard some Adams buzz, but I ain’t buying it.

Alright I’m done. Any further questions/complaints can be directed to @cheezi on the Fantasy Life App, @cheezifl on the (cool people say ‘the’ before twitter) Twitter, or just send yourself an e-mail and there will be a 3.7% chance I somehow respond to it. Best of luck fellas!
